About Us

Paul Poole

Reaching the summit has never been the reason why I climb, but rather the journey that it takes me on, although admittedly it’s pretty exciting to reach the top! Experiences are what memories are made of and it’s the shared experiences that motivate me to be on the crags and  in the mountains. I have always believed my main reason for sharing my passion for climbing was all about providing opportunities for people, along with teaching skills to become more reliant and these are still some of my core values.

The smiles, the sights, the emotions, the learning, the physical challenges, sharing these experiences is what it’s truly about for me. It’s all about the adventure.

Mark Reeves

I have lived and breathed rock climbing and mountaineering for the last twenty years. It is the last thing I think about and night and the first thing that crosses my mind in the morning. I love to share those experiences and enjoy nothing more than developing individuals as rock climbers to help them reach their own goals.

No matter what the grade, It is the feeling of climbing that I love and the vicarious joy of helping others succeed.

I live a dream lifestyle where the mountains and adventure are right on my doorstep and been lucky enough to spend over 12 months in the last 4 years working across Spain teaching rock climbing and developing mini-guidebooks to the different areas. What I offer isn’t just a course in how to climb but an adventure.

Both of us have worked in the outdoors for over 20 years each, are based in North Wales and run Paul Poole Mountaineering and Snowdonia Mountain Guides respectively.

We are both experienced Mountain Instructors with teaching and coaching backgrounds.
